Today on 24th April 2023, TANLAP has organized a meeting with Women's Rights and access to justice organizations to validate a report on the Assessment of Women's Rights and Access to Justice in Tanzania. The assessment seeks to provide current information on the situation of women's rights and access to justice in Tanzania. The findings shall provide relevant evidence to support advocacy efforts and inform a shadow report on the implementation of women's rights and access to justice obligations under the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination (CEDAW). In her opening remarks, Ms. Christina Kamili- Executive Director of TANLAP emphasized the role of stakeholders collaboration to advocate for promotion of women rights and access to justice, including a need for the enactment of Anti- GBV Act in Tanzania. The event held at Sea Shells hotel - Dar es Salaam.
