On 7th November 2023, TANLAP under the Mwanamke Imara project continued to engage with the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs on the enactment of Anti- GBV Act. In her speech, Hon. Ambassador. Dr. Pindi Chana (MP), the Minister for Constitutional and Legal Affairs said, ‘’ The government is willing to ensure citizens are protected from GBV by ensuring legal gaps are addressed even if a new GBV Law is to be enacted’’. The government has continued to amend various laws to improve access to justice in Tanzania. TANLAP shared with the Minister a report on the Assessment of women's Rights and Access to Justice in Tanzania, which also shows GBV is still a main challenge hindering women's access to justice. The Event was held in Dodoma.
