TANLAP ON SIDE EVENT AT CSW69

On March 21, 2025, TANLAP participated in a side event titled “Accelerating Gender Equality: Empowering Women and Girls Beyond Beijing 30.” The session addressed the consequences of funding cuts to the promotion of gender equality, focusing on issues related to gender equality and women’s empowerment, as well as the vital role civil society organizations (CSOs) play in advancing equal rights.

The meeting successfully explored funding models that CSOs can utilize to navigate the challenges posed by diminishing resources for gender equality, food security, women, peace and security, as well as transparency and accountability issues, ensuring that women fully participate in matters concerning their rights and needs.

The session concluded with a commitment to tackle the challenges posed by funding shortages by mobilizing local communities to finance gender equality programs, ensuring effective coordination, and enhancing data collection efforts. It emphasized the importance of staying informed, defending, and protecting women’s rights despite ongoing challenges.
