On March 18, 2025, TANLAP participated in a side event titled “From Beijing to Countryside: Rural Women’s Experiences and Perspectives on Gender Equality.” The meeting was fruitful, with participants sharing knowledge and experiences regarding the challenges and opportunities faced by rural women in various countries, including those in Sub-Saharan Africa. Solutions to these challenges were also discussed. TANLAP remains committed to advocating for legal reforms that enhance rights and the status of rural women and Tanzanian women more broadly. Additionally, the organization will work to raise awareness and ensure access to justice and equality for all women.
