TANLAP was pleased to take part in the side events organized by the Tanzanian delegation, which featured various themes and organizers. Notable events included “Generation Equality Towards Beijing +30: Addressing Rural Women’s Land Tenure Insecurity and Gender Inequality,” hosted by MoCDGWSGs, UN Women, Landesa, WiLDAF, Action for her Land, LSF, and the Global Call to Action Against Poverty. Another significant event was “Innovations to Reduce and Redistribute Unpaid Care Work for Women and Girls and Empowerment through Financial Literacy and Inclusion,” organized by MoHCDGWSGs, ESRF, BoT, CRDB Foundation, WSP, and IDR\-CRDI. Additionally, TANAPA led the event “Breaking Barriers: Women’s Leadership & Entrepreneurship in Tanzania’s Tourism Industry.”
During CSW 69, discussions centered around achievements, lessons learned, and reflections on women’s empowerment and gender equality across various topics, including land rights, entrepreneurship, leadership, financing, and tourism.
